Ajuga reptans Sugar Plum is a dense mat forming semi evergreen to deciduous perennial with reddish purple variegated cream green foliage. Produces short spikes of deep blue flowers in late spring and early summer. Tolerant of most soil types and conditions. Tough and hardy. Can be planted in full sun or part shade. Low growing, ground hugging, spreading habit excellent for ground cover.

Height up to 10 to 15cm and Spread 50cm

All plants supplied are strong well established and ready for immediate outdoor planting.

Pot and Plant Sizes

Most ground cover plants are supplied in 1 litre pots 13 cm in diameter. We reserve the right to substitute a pot size subject to availability.

We comply with industry best practice, in so much that we provide you with the pot size of all of our plants. Our plant sizes are based on the actual size of the plant EXCLUDING the pot - that is to say all plants are measured from soil level in the pot. For ground cover plants, the measurement is the diameter of the plant. Bare root plants are measured from soil level the tip of the plant.

Hedging, Groundcover

Signature hedging and groundcover plants are produced by Golden Hill Plants which is a production nursery. The majority of the plants that we grow are produced on our own nurseries from seeds or cuttings.

We have a display area at the front of the nursery. However, if you wish to view all our stock please bring suitable footwear to walk around our working nursery.

We have the expertise to be able to advise you about what to buy and where to plant it so that you can make the most of your purchases and enjoy the impact on your garden.
