Prunus laurocerasus Elly Cherry Laurel Elly or Common Laurel Elly is a dense, slender, upright evergreen shrub with long glossy green leaves. Produces spikes of white flowers in spring. Will grow to up to 4 metres tall with a spread of up to 0.8 to 1 metre. Needs much less trimming than Rotundifolia. Makes an excellent hedge to be trimmed to between 1.5 - 4 metres tall.  Good in shady positions. Very hardy.
