Common Laurel Genolia

Prunus laurocerasus Genolia (Common Laurel Genolia) is a narrow dense upright Swiss evergreen shrub with shiny elongated dark green leaves. Produces clusters of white flowers in summer followed by some glossy black fruits. Slower growing than Common Laurel (Prunus Rotundifolia) but its narrow compact growth habit means little or no pruning is needed. Hardy and snow proof due to the plants Swiss origins. Excellent for small gardens less space and for narrow hedges.  Can make a hedge of up to 3.5 metres if left to grow freely.
