Viburnum opulus (Guelder Rose) is a vigorous native shrub with clusters of fragrant white flowers in summer and red berries in autumn. Suitable for chalky positions and tolerant of most soil types including wet sites. Brilliant red autumn colour. Very good in mixed hedges.
Suggested Planting Distances
Plant in a single row, spacing plants 30-40cm apart.
For a thicker hedge, plant a staggered double row, again spacing plants 30-40cm apart.
